Heck. I just hit 600,000Km on my 2003 Accord 4 CYL. Used Amsoil 0w30 exclusively. It burned 1L of oil every 3,000Km. After replacing the PCV valve it burns about 1L of oil every 5,000Km for the same style of driving. I still floor the car now and then. I've read a lot of threads over the years on this website ... concerned whether one should change oil every 5,000KM, every 10,000Km...everyone so concerned. I change my oil every 30,000KM. Even now that Amsoil has reduced the quantity of detergents in the signature series 0w30 I still do 30,000Km oil and filter change intervals (I still have a few high KM Amsoil oil filters left, the new ones are 15K Miles). Just got a new 2013 4 cyl Touring Accord. In this car I will switch to Amsoil 0w20 after first oil change. I will do Oil + filter every 25,000KM. I'll let you know how it's working out after 500,000KM. What I found very interesting over the years is that no one was able to tell me is it Honda engineering or Amsoil that allows me to get this kind of use out of my Hondas!
