Another Good Samaritan

Almost 2 weeks ago I found out that 2 elderly women in my complex were in dire need of an OCI. I told them that I would help them out and have it done for them. But, I didn't tell them that I had to wait 1 week until my disability check arrived to buy the oil and filters.
About 3-4 days later I received a PM from BITOG member Kuato. He stated that he had some 0W20 oil that he would like to donate because he no longer needed it. I PM'ed him back stating that God must have told him I needed the oil.

I am going to Walmart later this evening to buy (4) qts. of 0W20 oil (or 5W20) to make up the difference in oil I need for the OCI's. My cousin and friend have volunteered to do the work tomorrow.
I want to thank Kuato from the bottom of my heart for his great deed. It just goes to show that there are more BITOG members with huge hearts that want to reach out and help the less fortunate in any way that they can! Thank You very much Kuato, and may God Bless you and your family!

I think there's a bunch of Autozones in your state. Check out the Autozone thread in the sales and promotion forum. Oil is now hitting $2 a quart and that's for some good synthetic.

To all that have replied, and will reply, this great charity deed was started by a very well known BITOG member, 2015_PSD (formerly known as 2010_FX4). If it were not for him reaching out to me a couple of years ago, none of this would be happening. All he wanted in return was for me to pay it forward one day. Well, it lit a flame in my heart called kindness and I have been doing it as much as I can since then! I also want to thank all of the other BITOG members from the bottom of my heart for participating in this worthy cause for the less fortunate out there! God Bless you all!

There is so much evil of every kind going on in the world and in our own country that we sometimes overlook or don't even know about all the good many individuals do for their communities. I have to say that here in Nebraska, the vast majority of Nebraskans are civil to each other.We often disagree, but it is understood that we agree to disagree and still respect each other.It's still not too bad out here in the middle of corn,soybean,cattle and hog county. And we still fill Memorial Stadium even with a 6/7 season.We beat the Big 10 champion during the regular season and played well against Iowa. And we didn't have to look at a raving, red faced wild man along our side line. Youngstate State had that pleasure.We'll take our first losing season in many years and be back next year.Happy Holidays to all

car51, it needs an antifreeze/coolant flush. My friend just so happens to have 6 gallons of AZ antifreeze and several bottles of Prestone Super Flush. He will be doing that tomorrow after or before the OCI's.
They usually give the vehicles a once over to make sure nothing major is wrong. If there are any major problems we/they fix it immediately. If there is a minor problem, they try to fix it or let it go until needed, if it is safe to do so!
And, thanks to you, she has a recent OCI!
