Another example of the used car market

I pay pretty close attention to the local market for 1st gen Tundras. If exceptionally clean, this was a 13k truck, pre-pandemic.

Remember-they can ASK whatever they want. If they don't get a bite the price will come down. Asking is not indicative of a sales price-especially in this instance. So you are getting a lifted truck that who knows what they had to do to the front end, fenders, wheel spacers, etc., to get it all to work....

BTW-Helper isn't really convenient to anywhere...lots of luck on the sale......

I think many of the listings are people not really trying hard to sell, just seeing what happens at a high ask. Although many are getting their high ask right now.

The market will only support what someone will pay. As long as no one ever shows up and pays 19k for that truck, they will lower the price.

The sad part is there are people out there willing to pay that much. They’re the reason prices get jacked up. If someone buys that up for 19k, the next seller is going to ask 20k.

Yep, it's the greater fool theory. No matter what you charge, there's always some fool out there willing to pay more. But eventually you run out of fools and then it all comes back down.
