Hi Everyone!

Sadly, one cannot run from GM’s cluster issue- it will eventually find you! In my case, it only took it almost 17 years to lose it. For whatever reason, it teased me that it was going, only to go back to normal again. Finally, it went...I guess I at least I know how fast I am going! I’ve done some research (EBay, new one), but I guess I can’t expect much for a 2004 to have much available- much go my options seem to be gone. Checking to see some options people might have for a car this age....

There are quite a few online repair outlets that repair instrument panel clusters, specifically GM.

Yeah, I saw a few online, and a few on EBay. I was hoping someone might have a recommendation, so I don’t choose Bob’s backyard Mart....

I took mine to a local shop when my 2005 Chevy truck started giving problems. Luckily there was a repair shop in my area that repaired instrument clusters. I took my cluster to them and they had it back to me the same day. All new stepper motors for $200. Worked like new since. I would ask around locally before sending it off.

For sure, my next door neighbor had the problem, our indy sent it out and it came back working 100%, I don't know the cost, but my neighbor is not one to spend a lot of money on things like that.
