Amsoils conical air filter

Hello gents
So I bought this massive air filter for my cold air intake and I was wondering if anyone has used them and what their experience was. I'm so done with the k&n air filters. After the debris I found in my intake tract I'll never so much as let one of those junk air filters near my vehicles again. (yes I oiled it properly and cleaned them properly. They are junk,period)
According to the instructions I can just blow the dust out going from inside the filter which sounds great from a maintenance point of view,I would just like to know if anyone had any experience with them in general and whether or not they noticed anything being ingested into the engine via used oil analysis or debris in the intake plumbing.

I have an Amsoil cone air filter on my 06 Scion tC's cold air intake (replaced an old K&N oiled type of filter). Only time will tell how good it is and how it holds up. So far it's been 20k miles or so and it looks great. I plan to wash it after 30k worth of use.

Whatever the shape of the EA does not matter. I had a panel one that I ran for 5 years 60+k and it worked out well. Everything was clean as a whistle.
I have a new one in now. Very happy with them. I blew it out about every year. It's nano fiber so it has really good filtration, and it's easy to clean IMO.

Been running them now for quite a while in most of our service fleet. Very easy to live with as they do not need much at all!

Amsoil also make nice filter socks that go over the EaA cone filters. i have one and it keeps debris away from the filter screen

Great filters, but I don't think you can wash them. You can vacuum or blow out from the inside. Thus, I pick Airaid Synthmax, or aFe Pro Dry S.

Yes, I beleive they are pretty much done if they get soaking wet.
