In the May issue of their magazine way in the back is notice that July 1 the annual dealer fee will increase to $100! My last renewal was $40 earlier this year.

Are they wanting to dump the non certified/ unmotivated dealer model?

Previous purchases for several years have been PG coolant, 2T interceptor oil and oil analyzers kits. I thought their add on TAN for $7 was good.

They continue to push the PC membership. At the time of my renewal the savings between dealer price and PC was substantial. Will need to reevaluate. Or cut the cord entirely.

I would simply cut the cord. It's over priced and not needed for any vehicle on the road. Why bother.
There’s plenty of benefits for using Amsoil or other specialty lubricants. When the proper lubes are used in an application, service intervals can be greatly extended with no risk to the equipment. Just buy from @Pablo and always have personalized service!

Thanks!

It's true there are a number of folks who signed up to be a dealer thinking it would be easy, or fun, or some special discount (well there is that). But unless you put in the time and work at first, and LEARN, and not be an erse, and get certified, it's not worth it. I tell every one of my new dealers: To be successful is not easy.

None of this takes away from the quality of the products.

I mean, I've had a dealer account under you for how long now? I move like zero product, most of what I order is for myself :ROFLMAO:

I think the dealer fee should be $1000 a year to keep out the pretenders....yeah I'm already leaving 😁
I actually think this is about right - or at minimum have a low fee but you have to move a minimum amount of product. If everyone is a dealer, what is the point?

I assume dealers don't actually take delivery - its all drop shipped? If so then the proper term is manufacturers rep?

I know nothing about Amsoil. Is there a thread in BITOG or elsewhere to explain how the dealer network operates?

Judging my my growing fleet and helping with other folks/family cars, might have to think about it, lol.

Couple of cars will be getting the good stuff….. :-)
