Amsoil Sponsor - Pablo

It would of been nice if they sent that to all the PC ahead of time . I guess it's my fault for not planning ahead with all these threads and online posts about the current oil supply chain issues.
Agreed! Effective today so zero notice.

But hopefully those will roll back soon since the strait is...for now..open.

Just went and checked. It's a price increase as stated. There's no surcharge message or notice. The prices for PCs is still about the same as shopping for big name brands at the parts stores. Not a deal killer at all.

I’ve already exchanged several emails with Amsoil CS. They dropped the ball big time. They claim they want to treat all customers equally and 24hr notice would not allow that. Then what’s the point of being a “PREFERRED CUSTOMER”?Doesn’t that separate their customer base already? Whatever loyalty I had for them is gone. I am beyond pissed. Now don’t get me wrong I understand why they have to add a surcharge given the issues with the ongoing global conflict. At least their main competitors gave advance noticies. After spending thousands of dollars over 5 years for myself and family/ friends with Amsoil I’m going to start exploring other brands. I’m just another number them like any corporation now it seems. The family owned business/ good customer service charm wore out quickly.

I am not sure that many brands are going to give a heads up on that. To me, its not a big deal. Even if I hadn’t stocked up a bit, I would continue to order with the current price increase because the products are still worth it. Especially knowing that it isn’t permanent. But for now I will wait to buy more unless something comes up where I need more.

Sure it would have been nice to have a heads up. But its just not a big deal to me and I will continue my loyalty to such great oil. And to our great sponsor @Pablo.

Who is giving advanced notice? I may have missed it.

Dealers found out same day so there was no preferential treatment of dealers.

Honestly smaller companies have less supply line buffer. Look at the report. If they announced it two weeks ago sure they would have sold more but then what? Low stock.

Sure I could have bought more but my local stock is decent - I thought about it even before the Amsoil announcement but didn’t want to tie up the cash.

The way I look at it is just that - Amsoil did it this way to not have a panic buy with low inventory but rather to keep a good inventory stock for everyone. And I am okay with that too because that means they aren’t as likely to be out of stock when I need something.
