Yes GL-5AMSOIL Severe Gear is an excellent product, I'm using it in our RAM 1500 - front and rear diffs. You can use it with confidence.
Does your transfer case call for API GL-5 gear oil?
Amsoil Severe Gear is a top-tier product.Yes GL-5
Double check that. Most transfer cases take a much thinner lubricant like ATF.Yes GL-5
The transfer case requires GL-4 or GL-5 gear oilI think Amsoil SVG is the or one of the best gear oils out there. But more expensive than almost any other company's gear oil.
But given the number of QTs needed and change frequency a higher costing gear oil is less of a big deal.
What vehicle? The transfer case requires GL-4 or GL-5 gear oil
If your owner's manual specifies 75W-90 API GL-5 gear oil for your transfer case then you may use AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-90.I have a 04 Acura MDX
Wait - delta gain of 3 mpg from gear lubes ?expensive but "may" be worth it. i like + use REAL synthetic Redlines drivetrain lubes, doing my tranny + differentials in my 11 fronty netted about 3 mpgs, expensive but going from 16 to 19 ia a good jump + getting better protection + longer life is an added plus. i would look into HPL lubes these days as well.
That product is highly regarded in the FlAT124 Spider forums……use with confidence.
Or Mobil 1 75W-90, works well.Valvoline 75w90 is also GL-5 at a cheaper price.
