Amsoil Series 2000 10W-30 Racing Oil?

The 0w30 isn't classified as a racing oil. Nor is there a Series 2000 10w30.
The term "racing oil" is not scientifically defined that I know of.
Amsoil makes a the Series 2000 20W-50 and they make a 60W for racing in situations that will see fuel dilution (typical in some higher reving, rich running race engines).
That said all the other synthetic offerings are fine for racing. Most importantly what is your application?

Thanks, Pablo. It's for a 91 Saab 900 non-turbo w/120K miles. Specs call for 10w30, or alt 15w40.
Just seemed like a substantial visc gap in the Series 2000 offering.
"Racing" was just reference to the product title - car is only street-driven (where Amsoil has other offerings)

I don't think so, Amsoil Series 2000 0w30 can be used in Any applications calling for an "X"w30. I'd say you would be fine using that oil.
If that doesn't fit the bill Amsoil has the AME 14w40, and the AMO 10w40, either one of those will work as well. Especailly if you see higher consumpter with the lower weighted oils.
I have had great success with the 10w40 in my BMW motorcycle, which is an Air/Oil cooled opposed twin. I ran this oil in the heat of El Paso TX, year round at 9400 mile drains. I'd say it's pretty tough stuff.

The Series 2000, 0w30 can be used to replace 5w-20/5w30/10w-30 oils. I'd even recommend it in engines that come with 0w-40 or 5w-40 grades. Wear protection is at least as good as the Amsoil 10w30, but with a few percent better fuel efficiency. I've run just about everything Amsoil makes in my Audi 100, and the 0w30 generated the lowest oil temps and the highest fuel efficiency. Compared to the Amsoil 10w30 I used to run, I consistently picked up about 3% in fuel efficiency.
There really is little call for a 10w-40 for most modern gas engine applications. Most of the Amsoil 10w-40 I sell is for diesel engine passenger cars and Japanese motorcycles.
If your SAAB is in good mechanical shape, the 0w30 will work just fine ....
