Amsoil EaO10 Made bt Wix?

I have received my order of Eao10. When I open the filters, they look like a Wix. I got a Wix 51396 from my stash and compare side to side:
- box is the same design layout
- filter is the same size
- numbering system on top of the top are the same
- 3/4 mark on the bottom
- same base end by-pass

Differences:
- gasket seems more flexible on the EaO, but not sure
- filter media has wire mesh on EaO

I don't really like the Wix EaO because they have too little filter media... As someone here mention b4, Purolator has ~105 sq. in. of media, Napa Gold only has ~75 sq. in. I hope the media of EaO do make a big difference in the filtration.

You do know that WIX makes EaO's for Amsoil, correct? It's not a secret or anything.

I remember Donaldson made EaO, and cannot recall my memory Wix made EaO also. Don't flame on me making any comment on the filter media. Someone cut open a Wix 51396 so I assume they will be similar. I think Wix will pack as many as media in their own brand of filter so I assume EaO will be similar. I think it's too expensive to cut one unused EaO, right?

Not flaming. I think the amount of media is specified by Amsoil, not Wix.

The media is Amsoil's. It uses the SYNTEQ process under license from Donaldson.

I don't believe that WIX is the exclusive producer of the EaO line, although many are from WIX. I believe that the EaBP are all Wix.
