Amsoil EA15K09 C&P w/ VR&P

So I cut this filter open after a recent oil change with Valvoline Restore and Protect. I have owned this car since new and I wasn’t really expecting to see any carbon. At worst she may have moderate varnish.

I didn’t see anything to worry about. Should have posted this tomorrow as the filter would be celebrating its 3 year birthday lol. I’m wicking the filter media now. However this three year old amsoil/champion filter looked just fine to me. Maybe a a wave or two in the leaf spring but I can live with that.

I took these pics in the evening hope the shade doesn’t take away from them.

As far as I know it's been and still is Champion Labs, since at least 2022 with this batch, and newer batches now using the Champion Labs E-Core Nylon cage.
I didn't know they were using E-Core. I think the last time I checked in on them they were made my Wix. That was probably a LONG time ago lol
