184307mi on car. Just a touch over 5k on this oil & filter.

Bought this car as a CPO with 20k miles on it. Was my commuter for several years with a 30-35mi (each way) highway commute. Ran Amsoil SS 5/30 on 10k OCI’s through 140k(with an occasional M1 FS 5/30 run thrown in). At about 140-145k swapped to PUP 5/30 on 5k OCI’s as my wife took over the car & only commutes about 2mi each way & does 90/10 city/hwy. Her highway trips are generally several hundred miles but only a couple times per OCI.

Swapped to HPL PCMO 5/30 at just over 179k to see if there was any buildup (had run the EC30 for the previous 5k mi with PUP). There really wasn’t anything to speak of. I figured the Amsoil SS would run clean on its old hwy runs but had heard plenty about buildup with Pennzoil. Thought around 40k city miles with PUP might have started to get some buildup.

Media was nice & clean as usual. There were a couple small carbonous Gritty pieces (two) in the media & a few more in the bottom of the can.

Anyway, here you go:

Looks real good. Very little obvious cleaning. Yeah I’d imagine the Amsoil SS kept it clean and the PUP as well.

What's up with the fishhook in the 2nd to last pic?
Dark, oily, media & usually easier to see the bigger chunks when dried. Sounds like the car is serving its duty.

If you go to the pic above that one, you’ll see the one below came from a section that had oil soaked blue shop towels right next to the media.

I was using those soaked towels to dry the media/wick away what I could before taking pics.
