Amsoil Ea vs. AEM Dryflow

I just get a great deal on a 97 Honda Del Sol (2 seater civic) and it has a cold air intake on it with a cotton gauze/oiled filter element. I have always been a fan of the simple paper element air filters due to: cost, ease of service, and good protection for the engine. So I have looked around and found a couple of dry element conical filter options:
Amsoil Ea element
AEM Dryflow
aFe Pro dry

I am wanting any information that the BITOG community has with these filter elements. Mainly personal experience relating to filtration (silicon numbers from used oil analysis)and ease of cleaning the filter. I don't really care about air flow as I am not driving this car for power.

I don't have UOA results, but the Dryflow was easy to clean. Fill a bucket with water, dunk the filter, maybe add some orange cleaner, swirl about for a few minutes, rinse, shake out and re-install.

I recently switched from K&N drop-in to a cold-air setup with an AEM Dryflow and am very happy with it.

Construction is top notch, and my first UOA showed 8 parts Si, which is fine. I am expecting as it ages a little that number will drop.

Which Amsoil size were you considering?

Amsoil Ea Induction Filters

Generally the media has been performing well, and few used oil analysis we've seen on the conicals have been fairly low in Si and solids. The main worry in conicals being the clamping/sealing mechanism.

I was looking at the EaAU3051

What is required to clean the Amsoil filter...just vacuum it out?

Vacuum, and or low air pressure from the inside (20 psi)

Generic EAA and cleaning stuff

I had to get an AFE pro dry, no Amsoil filter for my car.

Thought i'd chime in.

04 Subaru WRX STi

Went froma cheasy K&N CAI filter on my APS 65mm intake to a Amsoil EA filter.

I have no doubt that the amsoil filter is doing considerably better as the inside of my intake pipe and manifold are squeaky clean.

I had no issue with the clamp on the cone filter everything is hunky dory so far.

Unfortunately I dont have any used oil analysis from before to after. =[
