Some do better than others. Mostly off target from what I see from these VOA.Amsoil claims viscosity at 11.1 A little short on this test
Probably my last deal with BlackStone I’ve ordered a kit from Speed Diagnostic to retestBlackstone has been demonstrated to be off on viscosity measurements as well as fuel dilution and spectrographic results.
It's to the point where I'm not sure why people bother with them anymore. You're paying for something (and then posting it for everyone to see) when you cannot trust the results.

I think, judging by many of the posts here, and my personal experience, that you are correct. I have got mixed results from Blackstone. I am going to give Speed Diagnostics a shot.Blackstone has been demonstrated to be off on viscosity measurements as well as fuel dilution and spectrographic results.

I have personally seen low viscosities from them twice and the fuel dilution issue is obvious for everyone. Though, spectrographic results have been fine for me. But still, that's two strikes, which is enough and why I switched to OAI. Not to mention, OAI gives you oxidation and TBN for one price where BS charges extra for each.Blackstone has been demonstrated to be off on viscosity measurements as well as fuel dilution and spectrographic results.

Amsoil consistently over-performs. Blackstone has consistently under-performed for years. Regardless if it’s VOA or UOA, an Oil Analysis doesn’t give you one lick of valid data when attempting to determine how an oil will perform in a given application. It’s impossible for this kind of test to generate results. . Some do better than others when interpreting data. That’s what I see from this tea leaf reading. Some do better than others. Comparing this to SS you can see some differences - less moly, less boron and no oxidation spike in a VOA (likely lacks the group V of SS).
what do you mean?Wow… talk about not reading the room…

If many customers are complaining about your service, generally speaking, the last thing a sensible business would do is raise the prices of their service, especially with no corresponding increase in the value of said service.what do you mean?
How old is this oil? When was it purchased and how much dust was on the bottles?.... joking really!Amsoil claims viscosity at 11.1 A little short on this test
I’ve sent another sample to Speed Diagnostic hopefully It will show better numberThank you very much for doing this, was curious about this oil.
It’s stronger than I thought it would be in the detergent department, but has less moly than I thought it would.
I agree the viscosity is probably off from what it should be.
