Seems to have started thickening some. Good numbers overall. Rate of entry by Si normal, if that could improve the better.

I'd try out AZO and re-sample at 15,000.

How much time was this oil in the engine?

Cool, what air filter were you using?

Here's the thing. I screwed up and forgot about the air filter. It was stock until this oil change. DOH! Yeah, it was effin' dirty...

For sure.

Oil held up well. Oil filter might not be able to do 20k and that's why the possible nitration issues.
What kind did you use?

The nitration numbers may be a non issue. I was told by Dave at RL that ester based oils show high nitration numbers due to their chemical composition. If the 0W-30 Sig Series has a significant ester component, this may be what you are seeing.

This is a mainly group IV oil, even though the initial Virgin oil nitration is higher in this oil, it's hard to know how read into it without the Virgin sample tested for nitration. It does seem high, though, IMO.

If this app had a bypass system, he'd be set for greater things.

You should change air filter every 35-40k miles. Almost 60k miles on the factory air filter is too much, unless the air is very clean where you drive.

You are far braver than I. I would have had the shakes and lost sleep at 10000. Nice to see someone really testing the manufacturers claims. Also nice to see a manufacturers claims actually being close to true.
