Who watches this TV program? My wife and my grand daughter are hooked on this. I make my wife tape it and watch it when I am not in the house. Just not my cup of tea.

It's coming on tonight and my wife is a fanatic, but I get too go outside and play with my oil while it's on because she likes things quiet.

I can't stand that aussie phony guy....so I really don't watch much of the show with the wife and kids.

I can't stand Paula, I can handle Randy OK...

The rest of the show is just stupid. My kids like it, we try to let them now that this is NOT reality, it's ALL staged. I totally agree with supercrew - the auditions are so bad, at least it's humor. When they get serious, I leave. Is it just me, or has USA run out of singing talent?

I hate the show (well Australian Idle at least).

I think that the real talent (at least here) is doing Saturday Night gigs in pubs.

At least that's where the talents scouts seem to hang out, and groups such as Killing Heidi, and the Veronicas come from.

My wife is the TV watcher in the house and this and desperate housewives is always on her agenda.. I am glad to be moved into a home with a garage again!

OK...I'll admit it, I watch it....but say what you want...Paula is a TOTAL BABE....just love it when she wears those low cut shirts and that hair....oh gosh...pardon me...I'm going to the bathroom with some soap...........

I'm not much into the reality shows. My wife and I did watch Dancing with the Stars only because we ballroom dance and it was fun to compare our skill level with some of the competitors on the show (we're no Drew or Stacy but we're as good or better than most of the others). But I've never been interested in American Idol.

There is a new show called American Inventor that may be interesting. There were some pretty good ideas on there when I saw it a few days ago.

I do get really peeved at the whiners that can't deal with the constructive criticism offered by the judging panel (that went for Dancing as well). Buck up, learn from it, and do better next time!

watched the first season, after that it's just more of the same... don't even know why this show is still around, goes to show that **** floats to the top.

My wife watches this trash, so I do see it on occasion. The contestants are mostly bland people with reasonable vocals singing hackneyed pop pablum. How it tops the ratings is beyond me, but then again this whole "reality TV" craze thing is mystery all to itself. This has to be the absolute worst pop culture phenomenon ever. We will look back in 20 years and realize this I'm sure. BTW, watch Idol for 10 miniutes and tell me that Paula Abdul isn't high on something.

Simon - yeah that's the phony aussie - I don't actually give a crap where he's from, but I could have sworn he mentioned aussieland once...and of course I called him a phony.

Randy doesn't bug me, too much. It's all acting anyway (my kids think it "real"!!!)

I admit to watching all seasons faithfully. Flame me as you wish:) We watch several of the reality (fake) shows. We like Simon. He tells it like it is, and we typically agree with him. Simon is a "Brit", not an Aussie. I've never heard of him prior to AI either. Apparently he's some big producer in UK. UK was the first to have this show (I believe?). I never knew Randy prior to the show either.

At least he's honest. To me Randy is a massive phony. Calling everyone 'man" and "dawg" all in a contrived effort to look "street". It's not working IMO. As I stated earlier, watch the show and tell me that Paula isn't drunk or stoned. She's no rocket scientist to start with.
