NASA in and of itself is absolutely amazing.

The VAB building is so large clouds form inside.

The crawler only goes 1MPH, approx. I don't know how they do it now, but they used to have a 2 man team - 1 to drive and the other to walk along and keep him awake.

This is kind of off topic, but is the end of NASA near ?

I was fortunate to see the Shuttle launch 8 times and its amazing.

i deal with stuff ups and slack arse-ness everyday in construction etc, i have no idea how that whole system got engineered successfully...

I don't believe NASA is at the end or will be demised. I simply think that the economy and politics have played a role and NASA changes as those change.
