If the alternator belt slips a bit, when there's a load on the engine at highway speed, like downshifting & passing cars, can the engine miss due to of a lack of power from the alternator, because of the belt?

Is this possible?

Thanks!

No. You probably have other issues like eroded spark plug gaps or something else breaking down under load or higher RPM.
How many miles? Are the spark plugs original?

134000 km, new spark plug, new O2 sensors.

I would blame the map sensor or tps sensor, its only intermitent on a load, sometimes its fine, sometimes it jerks for a fraction of second when downshiftting, like the engine is chocking kind of.

Did you clean the throttle body? Clean the MAF? Try a bottle of Techron or Redline in the tank, the injectors may be a bit dirty.
Any CEL?

I'd start with that but add a caution. make sure you clean those items with the proper cleaner(s).

The alternator belt should not be slipping. Fix it but avoid belt-grip spray.

The battery can carry things if the alternator should stop putting out anything.

Yes I had put STP full system cleaner, I have no MAF, only a MAP, CEL code p2096, lean fuel trim bank 1

under load suggests arcing in the plug circuit. cracked coil pack or aged spark wires.

a belt will slip due to lack of proper tension, caused by a weak belt tensioner or a fixed belt tensioner and a belt that's stretched just a sneeze.

I would examine your belt tensioner and belt.

Definetely no belt dressing sprays. all those do is make the rubber swell, and on a serpentine belt, you pretty much ruined the belt afterwards. Proper tension is the key.

Clogged fuel filter? This would cause the high-end performance problems you're experiencing.

Another cause for the same symptom is a restricted exhaust, usually because of a broken catalytic converter.

You are chasing a lean condition. Long way from a slipping belt.

It could be a lot of things you really need a scan tool to diagnose this without tossing parts at it.
look for the obvious, vacuum hose off or broken/cracked. You may have disturbed one changing the plugs.

The STP is lousy AFAIK it is mostly Kerosene use a PAO based cleaner.
Something to check out..

Could be a possibility with the code he has. Maybe even contaminated gas.
