Friend of mine, who works for a logistics company, said they imported a bunch of new vehicles calling for Shell Tellus 68 to be used in their transmissions. They couldn't find the product locally, so he asked me if I knew of an alternative. They are refusing to disclose the transmission manufacturer/model, and as if it's any use, just said the vehicles were equipped with Cummins diesel engines.

I tried searching for the specifications this oil meets, and it has the following approvals:

- CINCINNATI P-68 (ISO 32)
- CINCINNATI P-70 (ISO 46)
- CINCINNATI P-69 (ISO 68)
- DENISON HF-0
- DENISON HF-1
- DENISON HF-2
- Eaton (Vickers) M-2950 S
- Eaton (Vickers) I-286 S

It also meets the requirements of:

- DIN 51524 PART 2
- ISO 11158
- AFNOR NF-E 48-603
- Mannesman Rexroth RE 90 220-1
- Swedish Standard SS 15 54 34 AM

These are obviously not your standard specifications, so I'm a bit lost as to where to look. I asked them to disclose the specification the unit has to meet, so I will wait for their response to my email. In the mean time, I was wondering what suitable alternatives would be to this product, meeting ISO Grade 68? Thanks!

i have a vehicle that calls for tellus t-22 and i have to get it straight from shell.

one of the iso's probably will work in your case.
