Interesting report- have to assume Allstate is using its own accident claims as part of the statistics in their findings:

"Allstate analyzed data related to auto insurance claims in the 200 most-populated U.S. cities to create the 2025 America’s Best Drivers Report (see full methodology at the end). First launched in 2005, this year’s report revisits collision data published a decade ago to reveal surprising shifts in driving safety across the country."

Of note, commentator Bill O'Reilly accesses the report as a combination of road design, and enforcement (or lack of) of motor vehicle laws.

How would they know about #10? Nobody is insured there, nor registered, nor inspected, nor licensed, nor have windows where the inside of the vehicle can be seen.

I wonder if Allstate's insurance rates coincide with their accident risk rankings? Or if other location related risk factors (such as risk of theft, potential for environmental damage, preponderance of unlicensed drivers, etc.) have a significant impact on the prevailing rates?

In any event, it would not surprise me if CA and MA have some of the highest automotive insurance rates in the U.S., regardless of the underwriter.

Back in the days (1980s) i Boston with the old tunnels to get into the city from the airport, they used to funnel abou4-6 lanes to two. My boss and i were in a rental creeping forward. Boss was driving. A big Mercedes kept trying to cut us off. Boss told me to roll down the window and yelled a the Mercedes driver, "Mines rented!" Boy, did that guy ever back off! Never forgot that. We laughed all the way to our destination.

As a bicyclist and motorcyclist, here's what the worst drivers drive:

1) Toyota
2) BMW
3) Ford Super Duty
4) Jeep
5) Ram

Numbers 3-5 aren't even close to numbers 1 and 2.

as a jogger who survived a hit and run, and only to be arrested because when he got home, he bragged about what he did, and someone called in an anonymous tip....his defense why he continue to drive off was because i stood back up......

god **** drunks. they're the worse.... If you drink and drive, i hope you die. You know who you are.

/end of rant.

Is your assessment of what worse drivers drive local, regional, or nationwide?

When I was in the Army I was stationed outside of Boston (Ft. Devens) for a couple years. My wife and I saw some of the craziest things on the road. The mindset and common practices in that area is mind bending!
