The "official" high temp here today was 105, which was an all time record. It was 110 on my thermometer when I went for a ride on my Harley this afternoon. All during the 40 mile ride my oil temp never went over 210F. This Brad Penn 20w50 is the real deal.

Wow, and that isn't even a dry heat!!!

I guess that when I get up to my Brad Penn dealer's way again (not exactly close), that I should stock up. I do like the idea of supporting USA, and even my state with them.

Their 0w30 weight racing is just a little thick on the 40C cST's though for Honda specs, but in the heat of this summer, would that really matter...NOT!

G-MAN,
How soon will we see a used oil analysis on the Brad Penn? I found a local distributor and am interested in their products.

It's going to be awhile. I'm so busy right now I don't have much time to ride.

can't be, it's only 10-20% pao and the rest grp2. Everyone knows it has to be labeled 100% synthetic to see any of the benefits? LOL. Must be those kendall green molecules doing their thing.

Actually "the rest" is Group I: good ol' solvent refined Pennsylvania Grade Crude.

That's not too hot. Kidding - 110 is brutal, even for a Texan like me who is used to those temps. That's a good oil temp reading too, I guess from your dipstick, right? I average the same on my big twins, but my old Sportser (my first Harley, and 84 1000cc Ironhead)which I still own ran about 220 in the heat. I wouldn't get concerned unless it was over 230 for a long time.

Forgot to add, I'm currently using the Redline 20W/60HD with terriffic results. Atleast I think so, we won't know for sure until I do a used oil analysis in about 2,000 miles...gonna compare it to the previous M1 V-twin I used prior.

That's blistering hot...

It's been in the high 90's around here and I've hated every minute of it.

I don't know what might be causing it... unless it could be...
