I'm following this thread with amusement. I think that pop rivit is (as usual) over exaggerating. I don't necessarily know if it speaks poorly of the site, I don't feel it does, but it's amusing to follow.

By comparison, following Hank Hill's tweets would pretty boring. "Yup, my grass is 4.8 inches: tomorrow I get to mow. All my equipment is in perfect working order as is my monogamous marriage. I think Mr. Strictland is going to make me Chief Assistant Manager at the annual sausagefest, hoo-boy."

If I had Twitter, that's probably what mine would look like; if I had Facebook, that's probably what it'd look like, too. I don't have either, and somehow, my life doesn't feel incomplete.

I do agree, at least in part, that the amount of entertainment gleaned from this guy's life or alter-ego or whatever probably says something about our society. Exactly what, I'm not sure...
