I think I tried it with bourbon before. Didn't like it much, but maybe I used too much bourbon.

Always keep a bottle of brown Souza Commemorativo and a bottle of the real nice stuff (Tres generaciones) for sipping with a squeeze of lime and rocks only.
Also like very dark rum.
Beer is nice but it is like liquid potatoes.

Keep a bottle of Don Julio Anejo Tequila in the cabinet for when I get in the mood for some shots (lime, salt, etc.)

I keep a full bar, along with mixers and so-forth as well as beer. No wine, though.
I keep some beers and wines in the house for guests.
But for me personally, a "dude" bar is all I need. Vodka, Kahlua and cream...I love me some caucasians!
