If anyone doubts that Alabama deserves their #1 ranking, this game should've erased that doubt. Even when playing a poor game (to their standards), and having to finish the game with their 2nd string QB, they were able to come back from a 14 point deficit to win against a team that's probably good enough to beat any other team in college football...I feel sorry for any team that has to play them in the play-offs...

The good game is on now: PITT vs Clemson

You don't need to pay off refs to have GA turn into mutts. It's what they do.

came down to the Ga. coach calling the fake punt when they had the game won, up 14 pts. Don't think any team in college football really has the ability to "buy" refs and get away it.

Ga. pretty much outplayed Al. the whole game, just breakdowns and poor decisions when Alabama put in a different quarterback they were not prepared for.

That overturned call of the fumble recovery by Georgia, in the endzone, into an Alabama touchdown, was one of the worst calls I have seen IN MY LIFE. Changed the entire direction of the game!

The running back fumbles, grabbed the ball and held it with both hands in the air and had possession.
Find another lame excuse for the Dawgs choking again.

I loved the fake punt that Alabama defense was set for and the idiot coach still pulls a fake punt.

Im a bama fan, been one all my life. Dog fans getting salty is just a bunch of crap. The fumble recovery being called a td was the most legit call i have ever seen. The running back is down and gains possession with the ball while it is across the goal line. His body didn't have to cross the goal line....just the ball. Yes a defender made him fumble...after he gained possession. He doesn't have to hold the ball stand up and do a dance with the thing. Now on the other hand...jake fromm did fumble on the last possession and the refs gave UGA another chance to tie up the game. As far as Bama being the best team....defense needs some work....No where as good as we have been on that side of the ball. Tua has been pampered all season. He loves the big play and UGA shut him down field and it showed bad. He just wont take the short routes when they are there. He has to mature and learn when the bid play is the throw to make. Great player....just needs to mature some more.

Is there an academic side to either of these institutions?

Just wondering why everyone cares about how a college football team performs, as if it's that performance that matters when considering the institution.

I thought the purpose of colleges was to educate young minds, not provide sports entertainment.

I disagree... That guy had the ball for literally 0.4 tenths of a second.... I don't think that should equal possession... Possession of the ball should mean he maintains it.. Then after the refs signal touchdown... He actually still has the ball and can either a) give it to the referee or b) spike it into the ground or c) throw it into the stands or d) hand it to a young kid in the stands...

I know I know... The end zone should be "different"... I say nonsense. If said player can't maintain control until a whistle blows and an indication of scoring happens... It should be a turnover. But... I don't think this change will happen. Though it probably should.

Talk to the other people who make big $$$$$$$$$$$$$ from supposed "college" athletics... The NCAA is a joke... Has are a overwhelming majority of the people in those colleges..

By the way... I don't believe in paying people to play college sports... That's not a good idea in my opinion.

I think the profits from college football and basketball should go to help pay for room and board for those in real need of assistance.

But it doesn't. It goes into the pockets of coaches, University staff, and pays for other sports no one cares about...

It is a dumpster fire circumstance.

The game was fantastic and AL deserved the win even after being outplayed for most of the game. Separately, Ohio State has finally woken up. I don't believe they will get into the PO, but if they do, teams better watch out.

Who watches football for the academics?

Please. OSU has been a mediocre team this whole season. It isn't like if they get in they're going to whup up on any of the top 3 teams...this isn't 2014...
