my 2012 F150, 3.7 V6, bone stock. 2k miles ago, I changed the moderately dirty air filter and put in a Napa Gold replacement air filter. For the last 2 weeks, Ive driven a lot of interstate miles in rainy conditions, where the vehicle in front of me is throwing lots of spray at my truck. Will this spray saturate my filter or shorten its life? All fenderwells and everything else are in place.

Next time you are in the air box look at the bottom of it, there are drain holes. I'm sure the factory deluges their products to check for cabin leaks and water intrusion into engine compartment / air filter system. You should be good to go, unless you sink your truck, then all bets are off.🤪

No, just as others have stated. The factory intake tubing is designed to keep water out.

I drive with bonnet forced open for better air flow rain or shine until the temps dip 10C or below.

Nary a prob with dust in the engine bay.

No, as long as you put everything back together the way it is supposed to be there will be zero issues.
