I'll go a bit in-depth here. There is no harm in having our members understand the basics of our operations. And this somewhat ties into an explanation I had given a few weeks back in another thread.
BITOG is a website dinosaur that continues to survive thrive in a social-media-outlet driven world. The reason this is true is because the world of internet giants like the Google-Monster (as I call it) create ratings and valuations based on their own internal criteria, which we are not privy to. But what we do know is that the value BITOG presents is very, very highly rated based on search results and traffic driven to our site. Most simply put, we don't know the formulas they use, but we do understand the final result. Hence, the summation we come to is that our rules and daily operations greatly satisfy the Google-Monster, or else we'd not be nearly as successful as we have been, and intend to be. The G-M scores many things, such as:
- original content
- human content
- spelling
- grammar
- traffic volume
- activity rate
- relevance to outside interests
- etc ...
Conversely, the G-M derates AI generated content and it reflects poorly in scoring. Hence, we don't allow any AI generated content. You are welcome to discuss AI; you can have human conversations about AI topics such as the development of AI, the pace of AI advancement, the benefits and risks of AI, etc.
But DO NOT POST ANY AI GENERATED CONTENT; not pictures, images, articles, studies, text, memes, avatars, conversation screenshots, etc ...
Disclaimers do not matter; they will not assuage you from scrutiny, and violations will be dealt with.
Why do we have such strict rules? So BITOG will continue to exist. If we all cherish our time on BITOG, we'll abide by the controls which are in place. It's that simple.
