Even with 2 thermostats replaced, my jeep 4.0 engine temps stabilized but consistently ran hot. It would reach normal temps and stay there, but if the engine was pushed the temps would go up and then stay up for a long time.
I'd figured it was another t-stat problem. Well, it was chilly this weekend and my heater seemed a little weak, hmm. Went home, flushed the heater core with the garden hose.
1. Now I have lots of heat.
2. That temp gauge stays right at 205-210 and doesn't budge.
