It is WAY more expensive to buy direct from Kendall even with free shipping.

I got 2 cases of Full Synthetic 5W20 for $111.53 shipped. 2 cases from Kendall direct with their free shipping comes to $155.64. Just not even close.

Good to know. I do wish Kendall promoted their oil on a local basis. Pep Boys carried it at one time.

Someone did me a favor (made a lucky call & timing was perfect) and yesterday received 12qts of Kendall GT-1 Full Synthetic 5w-20 SN and did a OC using 5qts yesterday.
So have enough for another OC, then the 2qts extra - will see if consumption changes as I haven't had to add between OCIs.

So trying it now but will I have more after next OC, dunno.

What I don't understand is why Kendall doesn't make it more readily OTC available or is it the stores not wanting to shelf it for the customers for whatever reason.

Well I get at least 2 fills then will see what happens after that. Since I just took out PP, it will have some PP residue, so after another OC of the GT-1 maybe later into it a used oil analysis at 6-7k
or just do the next with it then go on to something else, like back to PP

I guess I'm lucky. I have a Kendall distributor in town. I also have a local auto parts chain that stocks Kendall. I just picked up 5 quarts of the syn-blend for $2.49 a quart. Their regular price is $2.69.

Thanks... so I just called a couple Goodyear places by me and they didn't sell or use Kendall. Their running a Valvoline special right now.
So one did say that he could special order it (no price given), then do me a OC. I mentioned the TSB regards to using OEM filters and I have them. He says they will not use them, but could make a special order and get them from a dealer. Not what I wanted to hear.

I also re-submitted another inquiry to Firestone so awaiting an answer about them not able to use OEM filters I have.

So, I currently have a fill of Kendall Full Synthetic plus enough for next OC (bought a case off a vendor that happen to stopping by a local auto shop, but it was lucky timing and all he had).
I think I'll do the next OC using what I have (Kendall Full Synthetic w/Titanium 5w-20 SN), then after that go on to something else.
I'll either go back to the Pennzoil Platinum 5w-20 for cooler weather (have a case of Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 SN for summer use), or if I go to trying a value conventional, maybe Mobil Super 5000 since I'm using it in two other vehicles.

I just don't understand it, seems they (Kendall) can get more sales if it was readily available at common auto chain stores etc.

So after all this, most like going Pennzoil Platinum, Mobil Super 5000 secondary as I can find the Pennzoil Platinum (not always available but enough checking around I can usually find it (PU harder to find), or Mobil Super 5000 if my blood pressure goes up and be done with it.

Can't find any in my area as well, would like to try it or the P66 trop artic synblend. The VOA's and used oil analysis look good on both but I can't find either one.

It's an anti wear Additive. It is supposed to bond with the metal to form a barrier. It's pretty effective if used correctly.

The VOA (PQI - 5w30 (last I checked) on the Kendall GT-1, besides Titanium, also had 81ppm Moly, 834 ppm Zinc, 663 Phosphorus, 2430 Calcium etc.
NOACK I believe was 10.7, and TBN 8.7

So it seems in line with others, just Titanium is thrown into the add-pack. So it doesn't entirely replace the Moly from how I see it.
