If you or anybody has a clouded coolant bottle, shine a bright LED flashlight through the side, and run it up and down. When the light is above water the top half will glow all at once. And when the light is below the coolant level the coolant will soak most of it up and or discolor it.

Another method is to shine the flashlight down into the coolant bottle. Works best at night.

Yeah I check my Sienna coolant at night, with a flashlight (someone here gave me that tip). I can see the coolant level rise and fall at that point when I shake the car slightly. That works for me b/c the bottle is the same color, up and down--there is no dark stain towards the bottom obscuring the coolant level itself.
