After auto-rx what?

I have just finished my auto-rx treatment on my Honda Accord with 120,000 miles. Did the two bottle treatment. The metal was bronze before so it was varnished and had some sludge as I saw a few globs of black stuff. Metal is 80% clean looking silver now. What is the best way to do the last 20% and keep if clean? Using synthetic oil or conventional oil with a maintenance dose of auto-rx? What dose of auto-rx do you think would be needed 2oz or 3 oz. I was hopeing to use conventional oil chevron 10w30 with nothing but I don't want it to return to its previous state. Has new OEM PCV valve if that was the problem before. Don't have good maintenance history on it. Burns zero oil between changes so far.

I would recommend running, per se, Chevron 10w30 with Lube Control, only because I haven't used Auto-RX myself, but I'm pleased with my Lube Control results so far.

Do the math... see which one costs more in maintenance doses (my gut tells me LC might win this comparison).

I ran two Auto Rx treatment-rinse cycles and followed up with a additional rinse that included Schaeffer's Neutra #131 for further cleaning. My engine looks cleaner than before all that, but definietly has stuff coating the valve train area. Mostly looks like heavy dark varnish and some remnant sludge. Maybe I need to do the Neutra the last 500 miles of every oil change.

Or was it my engine needed 4 or 5 Auto Rx treatments? Can it be that bad?

Just makes those cases (even documented with photos) of Auto Rx cleaning the engine to bare metal seem a bit fantastic. Not running it down; just didn't do as much for me.

Run a good conventional oil for a few more short OCIs - maybe 2-3k miles. Use pennzoil or havoline, or if your climate allows, even better yet use a 15w40 diesel oil.

Be sure to use lube control. it will help the oil keep doing its stuff longer and better.

After maybe 4-5k miles, change to synthetic. Mobil 1 5w30 or 10w30 would be my choice for that engine.

Auto-Rx usually does not remove the brown stain in the pores of aluminum casting. No problem.

Lube Control may slowly remove this stain. Either way, the brown stain is not a problem.

AutoRX did nothing for the varnish in my engine. I guess I'm in the same boat as TallPaul.

Add 3 ounces of Auto-Rx with each oil change after
sludge removal application is finished. This will keep sludge from becoming a problem again.Please revisit www.auto-rx.com and sludge application.

Varnish stains on cast iron metal will be removed by Auto-Rx, on other metals it just takes time.

Using Auto-Rx than adding other chemistry right away is non productive as Auto-Rx will clean this chemistry off of metal. You want Auto-Rx to clean contaminants.
