AeroShell 33MS Grease.

Good evening all,

Was surfing around looking at grease and ran into a product page for AeroShell 33MS grease:

"AeroShell Grease 33MS is an extreme pressure (EP) grease based on the proven lithium complex technology of AeroShell Grease 33, and is fortified with 5% Molybdenum Disulphide."

For AeroShell 33: "Lithium complex thickened, synthetic hydrocarbon/ester oil base."

This 33MS seems like it may be the ultimate multi-purpose grease. I wonder if anyone here uses this Aviation-type grease outside of aviation applications? SkyGeek has it for around $11 a tube, which is about what I paid locally for "Green Grease."

Yes, the grease matches the mil-spec for that application.

Wow, it really does seems like this may be a "one size fits all" type of grease. Are the barrel nuts known to gall or seize? I'm not real knowledgeable on the M16 type rifle...

Well you have Steel nut on an Al theads. the nut is right where the chamber is (high heat). Add in all the enviroments the rifle will see and you can "weld" the nut to the upper.

That would take some serious mag dumps to get there.
