I never called AEM. I was so mad at what I saw, that I just threw it away and reinstalled the K&N.
My Simota has been installed for about 7 months and 6K miles. After the AEM failure, I took off my 3's Simota to look inside the intake tract, and throttle body. I was jazzed to see no dirt whatsoever. I even wiped the SRI & throttle body with one of my wife's white cotton makeup pad things, and there was very little if anything inside the SRI/TB. The Simota is currently running dry, but of course, can be oiled for added filtration. I plan to dump my RP 5w-20 at 1yr or 12k, and send it in for a sample. The Simota will have been installed for 100% of the OCI.
