Was out for bit this morning after infusion therapy. My friend asked me which 15w-40 would be suitable for his one backhoe and diesel truck. I mentioned Delvac with a decent rebate and Super Tech oil.

I said if it was me I’d do the Delvac 1300 as rebate is a bonus.

I don't think he could go wrong with really any diesel oil nowadays. Delvac is hard to beat with the current rebate. Any and all from all major manufacturers would suit him well.

Hard to imagine a Tractor Supply that’s not busy. It’s hard to find a parking spot at the one closest to me.

It probably won't be the cheapest, but John Deere oil if there's a dealer in your area. If a $300,000 tractor can run thousands of hours on the stuff, it should be just fine for a backhoe.

I have used most major brands of 15w40 and 5w40......mostly Napa 5w40 Syn. I took advantage of the Advance Auto clearance sale recently and bought 11 gallons of Delo 5w40 to 8 bucks a gallon. My kubota arsenal has 15w40 Supertech Syn currently. My 6.2 Diesel seems to like (POV) Delvac 1300 Semi Syn.

All that being said, between the two, Delvac 1300 and Supertech I would go with whichever one. Supertech has a Full Synthetic 15w40 and a conventional. Delvac 1300 and Supertech Syn is usually the same price if not Delvas is 1$ cheaper per gallon. Super tech conventional is usually 1$ less than Delvac.

On a CUCV truck forum I am on, the vast majority of folks use Delvac 1300.

Rural KIng has the cheapest price on Diesel oil.

Yes. He just was at Rural King and snagged some Providence brand 15w-40

He also got Rotella T4 10w-30 2 jugs since it’s on sale.
