It has always been good quality, Dexos or not. AutoZone Synthetic is now Dexos approved also. It is still blended by Warren Distribution.

You change your oil with insanely low miles on it.

C'mon guys, lets show some courtesy here amongst fellow peers, no matter the disagreements on previuos threads.

I think anything made my Chevron is top notch. LOL The $20 filter and five qts. of Havoline Syn combo at Advance was a steal!

It would be interesting if Advance syn met the HTO-06 spec as well...

On a different note than dexos but related to Chevron, I am not all giddy about what Chevron puts out. I used a Chevron Delo full synthetic 5w40 in my commercial semi engine, that sheared something fierce. The viscosity loss over an OCI was terrible and got flagged several times. Since I have moved over to another label, no more viscosity loss and shearing. So, I am not all excited that Chevron is bottling something for someone. Knowing that would cause me to look elsewhere for my oil.

Exactly. I'd take almost any brand that could prove certification...

I always get a kick out of that old saying... Especially since the correct way of saying it, in the sense that it implies, would actually be "how low on the totem pole" - the more important stuff goes on the bottom of the totem pole.

Just sayin'.

I'd say if it's priced well enough go for it.
Here's a PQIA on it:

I don't know if this is the dexos one or not, but either way, it looks good, and since you would be getting the dexos one, you know it's gotta be pretty good.

What's the price for this deal, Cuda?

5 qts + driveworks filter 19.99
dont know if the filter is anygood. last i looked the wasnt any silicone adv, i would use it for my 69 stingray which doesnt see a lot of miles but short oci. the oil will be for my 3.0 fusion.
