Is their house brand of oil any good? Anyone know who makes it? We had a new store open and they have the oil on sale for 3.83 a gallon. Planning on stocking up if it is decent

I've heard that it is made by Warren-Unilube (who make Coastal). This is different than Warren Performance Products who make private branded oil for Sears and Walmart. If it's SM rated it can't be too bad. Coastal did have a problem a while back about 5w30 not meeting 5w specs (in other words their 5w30 was really more of a 10w30). This wouldn't be much of a problem in SC if it were still the case.

At $3.83/gallon, why not????

Ive used it in the past a couple times and didnt have any problems.

Bottom line, it wont hurt anything, as long as its SL/SM rated.

wow that is dirt cheap...i would use it in a second and i think i will for next oil change..i think it is made by warren unilube from tenn and louisiana

Thats a pretty good deal since we do NOT hvae CSK stores on the East coast.
