Reader, flash, suite, or all of it? They have a lot of products, but Reader is probably their most used. I always update to their latest versions of everything and haven't had any issues.

I dumped the reader a couple months ago and am very happy with my decision. Foxit ROCKS!!!!

Flash is still an annoying "requirement", seems like there is no alternative but deal with their stupid constant updates, even though I just updated an hour ago.

Maybe that is what annoys me. Software I never really wanted, or invited, but has the most annoying intrusions onto my hard drive. Like non-stop some days. Not only that, it's a resource hog and quite bloated for what it actual does.

Virtual Printer for .PDF? Nice find. Foxit has one too but it watermarks the documents.

Yeah but there's lots of other really buggy or unfinished software, some worse, that never sees any maintenance/updates from the developers because they simply don't care after they gots your monies. Either they don't care for repeat business or they know there's no real alternative to their product either.

Adobe reader 8 was annoying because of the frequent updates required.

Finally upgraded to 9.or was it 10 ("X"). The upgrade/enhancement requests have subsided but the new version does not allow text highlighting/copying or "snapshot".

Does Foxit have these features?

Give it time: With some luck (crosses fingers), the new HTML5 spec ought to make Flash obsolete.

That's what I did. Downloaded Foxit and never looked back. My Adobe reader kept wanting to upgrade...even after I disabled that!

Aye, cap'n.

Text copying or highlighting and picture snaps. Of course, the document must also allow it. Some are copyrighted.

Bloatware. Their software has gotten way to complex and flashy over the years. That's why I still stick with CS2.

I've been using Foxit for about 6 years now and spent the money a few years ago on the PDF Creator (printer driver that turns anything into a PDF) as well as "pro" package for their pdf reader which brings such goodies as a "typewriter" tool allowing you to turn any PDF form into a a document you can fill out and print just like you would on a PDF form that has fillable fields. For $30 (at the time) I couldn't ask for more at a better price.

I'm still running version 3.1 of their reader and 2.0 of their PDF creator (updating to the newest would mean buying a new license) and experience zero compatibility issues with any PF docs I come across.

Meanwhile, Adobe has turned out several new versions of their reader and multiple updates for each and there is zero difference in functionality from my old Foxit compared to their latest whiz-bang product.

Someone mentioned screen caps of documents. If you're not running Win 7 with its built in "snipping tool" I'd reccomend MWSnap. Its old (like 2003-ish) but works fine on any windows version.
