Additional Friction Modifier?

Ok, the question is for a golf cart diff. I know . However, it has a hypoid gear, limited slip so the service manual calls for a GL-4 (?) with additional friction modifier. I scoured forums and most use a straight GL-5 75W-90 gear oil with the friction modifier already in it for LS diffs. Have Red Line GL-5 75W-90 (NOT NS) on hand, and wonder if it has sufficient FM built in. It's pretty easy to do an additional fill through the vent cap, so if it chatters or bucks, I can add in some more (around 1-2 oz.) friction modifier. But if I won't need it, I won't get any.

Try and see before adding more. The Redline oil has plenty already in there, so it's very unlikely you'll need more.

Just remember that if you add too much slip additive, you'll kill the LSD action, so use as little as possible.
