Some people at this web site have said that AC-Delco oil filters are pretty good. I heard that AC-Delco used to have a oil filter called the Ultragold or something like that and that it was a very good oil filter. I have a Saturn SL2. I figured if I went to a GM dealership that I would be able to get an AC-Delco oil filter for it, since Saturn is part of GM. But I was told that AC-Delco oil filters don't work on Saturns. I don't like the Saturn oil filters-they are apparently made by FRAM. When I use the Saturn oil filter there is noise in the engine, especially during cold weather. I have tried some other brands of oil filters, but I was just wondering if AC-Delco oil filters will work on a Saturn and if a ultragold AC-Delco is still available.

Mystic:

AC discontinued all but two sizes of their premium "Ultraguard" filter. There is not one to fit the Saturn. I suggest the Purolater Pure One. It works on my Saturn and has very good efficiency ratings.

You did say what model and year car so here is the link, you can check it out.

PF53 seems to be a popular Saturn filter but it would depend on you model and engine.

Hastings has filters for Saturn, Amsoil has most models covered, SDF57 for most all 4 bangers but not for V6's.

The AC Delco premium filters are discontinues I beleive, low demand for them. 99% want el cheapo, just go look in Walmart when there is a sale on filters, shevles are empty in no time.

No such thing as cheap quality though.
