AC Delco battery date code?

I bought an AC Delco Gold AGM battery on Walmart for about $160 shipped to my door. Even came in a cardboard box full of bagged air, only half of which survived

I'm stumped on the date code. Some previous posts suggest I should be reading the G063R as G (battery type), 06 (month), 3 (2023), R (plant). Only problem is that it's not June 2023 yet, unless I got a battery from the future.

Can anyone shed light on this? I also have a photo of the old battery, where I see no such date code.

Are you just guessing, or do you have a source for this info? I think that date code would be unlikely. I'm pretty sure the G stands for "Gold" series.

Probably postdated to reflect lag between manufacturing date and ultimate purchase date. 6/2023 warranty start date absent a receipt.

Sometimes, I believe they date them a few months in the future because they may set a while before selling that way the warranty date based on manufacture date is more inline with the sale sate.

I'd guess 063 is the 63rd day of year R

Wondering if anyone has gotten any further info on this?
I bought a new battery a couple days ago from a GM dealer with a date code of G083P, which I guess is just post dating to presumably account for transportation and inventory time.
I was disappointed however to see the stamped code of 3CKD22, which I hope doesn't mean manufactured in Feb, 2022.
Any thoughts?
