AA Tires VS AB Tires

You could go one step down in width and one up in profile. Then go for a touring with your traction requirements. AA wet traction ratings tend to be on the higher performance tires with lower wear ratings but a good tire won't lose its wet grip prematurely either so you might run them down closer to 2/32 than you normally would.
I'm trying high performance summer tire/winter tire plan this year as I'm tired of all seasons becoming useless in the wet for the second half of their life.

Why anyone would do that is beyond me, but be aware that treadwear rating are the most likely to suffer from this in order to make a premium tire look "premium"!.

I know one tire that had understated treadwear.
Bridgestone Potenza RE92 OE for Subaru Legacy GT (2005-9) 215/45R17. I think UTQG of 180 or so was used to make it look like sporty tire while it wore like 400+ tire.

And that's a pretty terrible tire, too, at least in my experience. You wish it would wear out faster so that you could replace it with something better, but it just keeps on going...

Another FYI:

I used to work for a major tire manufacturer and the issue of treadwear ratings comes up frequently. It is not uncommon for the rating to be adjusted so a "Best" tire (as in "Good. Better, Best") is rated higher than the "Better" tire, which is rated higher than the "Good" tire - even though they all use the same tread compound.
