I intend to use it as a supplement each tank at 1-2oz/5gal.

2oz per 5gal would be too rich. 1oz per 4gal to 1oz per 5gal works best for me. I use it for cleaning and lubrication. I haven't noticed any change in gas mileage, and I keep good records.

That's the dosage I use too, ~1:500-600. After 4 tanks with Lucas, ~1.5mpg increase. That's a W8 engine, and 50/50 highway/city. I reset my trip computer tracking MPG when I started the UCL and I am currently averaging ~19.5mpg. Before that, I had logged about 1500 miles averaging 18mpg on the dot.

Is it attributed to summer fuel blend vs winter? I don't know. But I figure the UCL can't hurt.

There has been a lot of UCL talk lately (a lot of things on BITOG seem to come in waves - but I'm a surfer so I like that

). I like to reference my thread on UCL and FP , as I try to represent the most accurate results with some real world data.

Nice write-up! I guess the mpg increase I'm seeing is on par with your study. I also use shell gas exclusively, 93 v-power, same station and try to use the same pump, but not always possible (rush, rush, rush). I've ran 4 tanks so far, so I'll give an update when I hit 9 tanks.

I'll have to check tire pressure and make sure I keep it consistent.

Car is a 2002 VW Passat W8. An 8-cyl passat is a gas guzzler

I'm heading to Columbia SC next month for a wedding (1200 mile round trip) and I will buy some Lucas and use it on the way home.

I've used FP60 in a 98 Civic and got 41 MPG on the highway and I know FP does slightly increase gas MPG in our Honda.
