Think they have more kit than the current space mission 
Oil has a darker hue than what I might have expected.

33:45 they take 5000 mile samples and talk oil. One guy is skeptical it lasts 25,000 miles and describes the variety of conditions the oil will be put through. The other mentions mobil 1 chemists told them not to look at this as if its the same oil, its totally different or something along those lines
25,000 miles on an oil change!! Yikes. Imagine the circulating particulates grinding on those timing chain pins...
If this was filmed a year or 2 ago, wouldnt this ‘new oil’ be the Mobil 1 Advanced Clean ( can’t remember name right now) that they just came out with that we are already talking about??

No this is the new extended performance formula. They just changed it to 25,000 miles and i verified the formula change by the new revision number on the back. Now we need a VOA with oxidation and a lake speed video for some FTIR
I think people are already confused enough with the amount of oils in their line

No its the new extended performance formula since that one is 25k miles and advanced clean is 20k miles. I also saw xoverland posted on their facebook page that they used

Until something changes with oil filters there is no way it is a good idea to go that long on an oil change. Nothing to do with the oil, it is the dirt and wear particles in the oil!
As I have watched the series I have wondered about them adding oil to replace what they sampled. Are they also changing the filter? What’s the unseen stuff.
They don’t own the trucks, so they really don’t care about the longevity. Getting paid to test was smart though.
