BYD must have been listening to all this talk about electric supercars, this one also does a pretty good job of it without 10 cold rocket boosters.
Note I even posted a source more palatable for the comrades. The rear wing is a bit much but otherwise it looks good.

The Yangwang U9.

Looks mean, guess well see what its got, what it costs, and what its like to own soon.
Could be awesome, could be a joke.

The name may fly at home, but Ive watched cultures collide when it comes to naming a few times in my career.

1. Sony broadcasts first giant tape library, they wanted to name it the "petafile".

2. JVC's prototype of the Sony Walkman, they wanted to name it " the street walker".

I hate EVs. They're stupid...

Lotsa fast EVs. Make mine American. Heck, the old Model S Plaid is a paltry $90K starting price. It's faster 0-60 and qtr mile then the Yangwang U9.
From Car article on fastest EVs:

It produces a frankly ridiculous 1006bhp, which is enough for a 0–60mph time of less than two seconds. Allow us to frame those figures with some context. This family saloon has more power than a McLaren P1 and can sprint to 60mph faster than a Ferrari LaFerrari.

If the Roadster II ever sees the light of day, it is likely to spank them all, regardless of price.

The Plaid is not a nice or exiting looking car as are all Tesla's except for the one they got the body from Lotus. The roadster will never come to fruition as the muskrat envisions. I hope the roadster uses BYD batteries though so I can make a little cash.

Looks are subjective. My point is, the U9 is slower than the Plaid in key metrics. Kinda funny how an older platform based, family sedan can beat the BYD "Supercar"? And a lot of others, for that matter.

Here's a beautiful EV Supercar, which we should hear more about later this year. Each to their own, of course.

It definitely does have the right look. They must have exuded all talent they had in the looks department before they made it to the Cybertruck drawing board.

The big difference is you can actually buy the U9, it is in production. So far the roadster is just another pipe dream.

The rear wing is a bit much but otherwise it looks good.

The designer of the car previously worked at Alfa Romeo, Audi and Lamborghini.

I find the front light signature even more extreme than the wing, but I suppose that's the whole point in a supercar?

Yes, sorta. I am not sure I can buy a U9 in America; I wouldn't anyway. But you are right, the Roadster II is long delayed. Elon time... Tesla has been in rapid growth mode since 2018, building cars and factories.
This car will be the culmination of everything Tesla has learned in the past 10+ years. Perhaps we will see the Roadster later this year. If so, it promises to be amazing.

Here's another pic for you:
