Dad and I went to Advance today and picked up my new A/C parts.

These were...

Factory Air (By Four Seasons) New Compressor
Factory Air (Four Seasons) Accumulator
Factory Air (Four Seasons) Orifice Tube

All 3 Made in China, by the way, but oh well not much choice in this segment. I'm just glad it's a NEW compressor, not a reman.

Anyway, will be putting them all in when dad is off this weekend. Glad to finally going to have my A/C back. Will keep posted.

Just fixed the A/C on my 1989 Accord, got a reman compressor on ebay, a Genuine Honda expansion valve, O'Reilly's Murray Receiver/drier and Genuine Honda O-rings and flushed the system. Now my a/c blows freezing cold, took me two days of work to get the job done.

Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes.

I put one of those reman compressor kit's from a9star9a ebay seller on my Civic last summer, so far it's working great. It was a lot cheaper then anything I could get from a parts store.

The shop will do it. I'm sure that compressor is fine.

I haven't played the AC game for a while (all my stuff's just been working - knock wood- for several years). But back when I last did, Four Seasons had the absolute WORST reputation for AC parts. Now it had gone to that from having had a very good reputation back in the late 70s early 80s, so things can and do change. Personally, the combination of the Four Seasons name on the box and "made in China" scares the living stuffing out of me.

Adding oil to AC systems is inexact, unless you have all new flushed parts, and are starting from scratch.
Many compressors ship with oil in them - some don't.
I'd check into the parts and relay the info to your service guy.

That's good to know, that's the seller I bought my reman from.

Problem is they seem to be the only game in town for non-oem AC parts.

I just picked up new AC Lines for my Shadow, made in Isreal of all places stamped on the lines?
