Bought a used 98 Buick lesabr e back in september.car needs work. Intake was leaking, replaced gasket, upper plenum, still leaked.poured a bottle of copper intake bars leak, and half bottle of bars leak aluminum, leak stopped. Still have a p04020th i think it is code, cataly c converter inefficient flow, bank 2. Car started fine, ect.past week,on 2 occasions, car turned off driving.got car too side of street, piped hood, shook battery, restarted,no issue.sometimes,I see the dash illumination, diminish in brightness, for a few seconds, then it goes back too normal. I tested the battery,2 months ago..it's fully charged.my brother in law, thinks the battery cable terminals should be replaced. Could it be the cat causing this? I'm getting Good mileage, good charge.theirs a click click click noise coming from warning light area too, lasts a few minutes, but no warnings illuminated.it goes away after 2_3 minutes.what gives with the lesabre?

My Toronado (3800 Series I) did that very same thing when the ignition module went out. If that's the case with yours, replace with oem only. The aftermarket ones are junk.

Didn't you have this problem months ago?? I recognize your "methods". Anyway, your Bars is only a temporary fix for a leaking LOWER intake manifold or possible head gasket. The cat could have poisoned with the coolant leak. I wouldn't buy a cat until you address the reason you had to put in the Bars or you will ruin a new one when your Bars lets go and starts leaking internally again.

Yeah.trying too get some money together.sorry. As said, the car turned off while driving,so thought it was a security thing, like the car thought it was being stolen, like Chevy malibus...their known too shut off while driving. The clicking noise, from warning light area, appears, too be the air bag light.goes off and on,a number of times,so does the clock in car.simutaniously.
