96 Toyota Corolla A/C Probs

Hi folks, customer vehicle i am working on, having a problem with abnormal high side pressures

the ambient temp was 85 degrees and the high side pressure was 325 psi and the low side was perfect at 30, i believe there is a restriction somewhere in the high side of the a/c system, my belief is since the car has low mileage and only 80 thousand miles , and the high side pressure port cap was missing.

I believe the prior owner to my client may have filled the system with stop leak slop through the high side fitting somehow as there is nasty goo there. I have a a/c flush gun, manifold gauge set & vaccum pump, so i will go to my buddy's shop and recover the air con system. I really don't want to dig my heels into something with stop leak, but it's a dear friends car and i want to take care of her

I am thinking one of two things here, either the filter/drier has ruptured or the expansion valve is sticking. Any way to findout if there is gobs of stop leak in the system the easy way before i go taking stuff apart to be sure i'm not getting myself into a headache project.

It's most likely the valve... It's super small and most likely clogged with the stop-leak stuff. I don't suspect the dryer...

Are you sure there's no issue with heat rejection(condensor fan running at proper speed, clogged condensor coils, etc.)?

If so, I'd replace the exp valve, evac., charge with virgin refrigerant, and hope any stop-leak isn't totally gunking up things.

Condensor is plugged internally.The condensor is what radiates the heat out of the system. If the fan(s) are working, proper charge and not plugged up externaly then it's inside.

I want to thank you all for your advice, but the customer has declined for me to repair the vehicle, but i will keep all this information in mind for any other 1996 toyota corolla that may come into my shop for repair of the a/c system with abnormal suction side pressures.
