have a 94 4X4 Nisson pickup,KA24E,when the engine is warmed up it surges when you let up on throttle, when you slow down the idle stays high, and pulses sometimes on tach,,, this seems intermittent, tried fuel conditioner, sprayed the linkages, plate etc moves free,,,,any help is great thanks ,,BL

we had an '83 sentra wagon that would surg when you floored it. The carb would get stuck open. A brand new $3 air filter cured that.

Throttle positioning sensor ? Why don't you run the trouble codes ..I have the same engine in my Altima ...very easy ..do a search out on the net ..the must be forum somewhere.

Check for vacuum leaks.
Replace the PCV valve.
Make sure the oil filler cap still has the seal.
EGR valve could be sticking, but that would cause stalling and rough idle.
IACV - Idle Air Control Valve, gets gummed up and dirty. This is the valve that sets the idle HI when cold, then lowers idle a little at a time while warming up.
ECTS - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, check for bad connection of wires.
Check for vacuum leaks!!!
