I'm running the car in a 24 hours of lemons race. 171 k miles, about 30 k on rebuilt bottom end. Took it to Shenedoah and after about 60 minutes of flogging, no oil loss.

I'm looking for something good to throw in, as well as transmission fluid for the t5, and gear oil (w/ posi additive?) for the 8.8 rear.

I purchase m1 hi mileage 10 w40 and have a couple of quarts of redline 50 weight synthetic if we see any drop in pressure.

Your opinions are welcome here.

thanks

Sorry, don't have any recommendations, but just say still love the turbo coupes. We had a total of 3 of them in my family over the years, 87 & 88's.

Good luck in your race.

no oil temp gauge, but there is an oil cooler at the filter. There's also cooling on the turbo housing.

Race is in June, I'm guessing mid 80 to low 90 temp.

I'm loving this car too. During track time, it ran, braked and turned in great. Suspension is a little soft, but it'll have to do.

It's an iron blocked, alloy headed(?), SOHC I4 with a turbo (intercooled the last two years of production, '87 & '88).

Made/cast by the Blue Oval.

Some tuners have squeezed incredible amounts of power out of these things with the right build/parts/turbos/fuel systems/intercoolers, and tuning.

when I was comuting to tech school 10 years ago, I almost bought one of those. I picked a 95 Escort LX instead cause it seamed like the more "responsible" purchase considering I had a 1hour drive each way. I still regret that descision.

RP in 40 would be a good suggestion. The M1 40 weight he already has should do admirably well, too.
