Alright folks, time to change the front diff fluid in the Giulia. After striking out at two dealers I’m turning to BITOG.

Does anyone have a source for a full synthetic, 75w-80 GL-5 gear oil? Triax is the only one I’ve found, but it’s Triax…

I put Triax 75W80 GL-4 in my wife's 2015 Audi A4 quattro that has a 6 speed manual. It works. I don't use their engine oil however and don't like their over the top marketing. If you look at their SDS it doesn't state containing PAO and esters.

Also to note I highly suspect they produce the made in USA VAQ limited slip fluid exclusive to a few VW GTI's and GLI's. The bottle and cut & printed bottle sticker is a copy of what Triax uses, not Mobil or Castrol and I doubt the majors wanted to bottle a measly who knows, a 1000 bottles a year.

Hard pass. There’s not one single piece of verifiable information in their claims… how does one measure “superb” foaming resistance? And so on down the whole list of “benefits”.

What exactly is soft mental synchro damage?

And I’d love to see the “PAO-Ester” content when this is the SDS:

Which that wording sounds suspiciously similar to this thread:

Maybe a local nissan dealer sells this stuff? Don't know about the clutch in the front diff though.

Wow, that intern really didn't pass their high school English classes I guess.

- foaming resistance is classified as "superb"
- shear stability gets a rating of "extreme"
- corrosion protection gets a comma before "and"
- "prevents slippage" and "facilitate(s) smooth shifting"
- seal compatibility is "with natural or synthetic"
- Compatible with "&manual" transmissions
- low sulfur prevents "mental synchro" is a perfect closer

I read your criticism and assumed we were talking about Amsoil claims. I was cringing knowing the pushback that was coming.

Then I realized it was Triax, so it's okay.
