Hello all, long time since I’ve been on the forum, wish it had been the same amount of time since I’ve had to work on my 7.4l vortec. Lol. I have a question please regarding that engine, I would like to upgrade the valvetrain but there are several to choose from and I’m uncertain of which ones to get. Also, are there any other areas that upgrading is necessary when I upgrade valve springs? Thank you in advance

What is the goal? I'm guessing not a high rpm monster, but end result and budget for it would go a ways.
I'm not sure what better springs would buy you. Not unless if you are looking to gain more rpm? Are you swapping in a new cam while at it? Are you going to bump compression or leave as-is?
I'm not sure if roller rockers are advised on a low rpm motor. Good items but I'm not sure about cost.

The cam company will tell you what springs to use. Depending on how radical the cam is you may or may not have to grind the heads to fit them.
